Are these currency rules where we cash it in with the admin and then get the materials, or with other people (Because what sane person wants to trade 64 slimeballs for 6 gold?)

Second one and someone was selling them for that What do you think would be a better price? Also, these are not rules, these are server suggested price guidelines

[/quote] I highly recommend using the gold nugget system, its more affordable. e.g. 1 gold nugget for 4 coal

Nuggets are too easy to get IMO, but I agree they seem more like currency. I think we should use a mix system, where 1 golden ingot is 9 golden nuggets (obviously, since that's what you can turn them into).

Nuggets as cents. Not really, but if 1 gold is too cheap and 2 gold too expensive throw nuggets in.

I really like having a currency system because on all of the old servers i played on I became the guy to value stuff / buy stuff from. I was basically a shop, and I made a huge amount of profit from it so I've always been sorta interested in trading/bartering. I think the problem is that it's really hard to try to pinpoint down one currency that can be used effectively, like I think that emeralds would be too rare to use unless everything is super cheap, but at the same time you need to have a much higher price for a luxury item, like a silk touch pick for example, compared to something like wood. I just think that it's too hard to get the balance right with emeralds. But that's just my two cents on it.

I'd probably buy items from people with spawned emeralds and a lowered price, might kickstart an economy.

Yeag, that would definitely work, but do you think people will be interested in using the currency? or do you think everybody will just stick to trading items?

People definitely stick to trading items, there's a few people, myself included, that trade exclusively in currency

I always used the currency when selling horses, because the currency made baby horses Man, this obsession is really getting out of control You should have seen the monopoly I ran on the previous map, so much gold. This time around I'm more into the stats breeding them right getting gold based of stats.
