This thread is mainly addressed to Rcon, or all other people this might concern. So I built a mob grinder/ spawner today. It's at y=184 with a collecting platform at y=160 and has a couple hundred spawnable squares for mobs to spawn on (the only ones in a huge area, which means a lot of mobs should spawn in it). But the problem is no mobs spawn in there (nearly 0, it once spawned maybe 4, thats it). I already tried and checked all the usual mob grinder difficulties, like light level, distance etc, which all seem fine. After a lot of Googling I came across this: mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC-1971The guy has the exact same problem and uses the exact same y coordinates as I do, so this might be the reason why it isnt working. So Rcon could you please check the viewing distance in the server files for me? Would really appreciate it since I put a lot of time in this by now Other suggestions/ possible fixes also appreciated. - Sandeerrr
