Yes, but what I'm gathering is that we're building it on land, which is a ton of unnecessary work.

Just build it 100 blocks away from the end

Why are we covering the end in water? Just build it far away. It means that, because endermen can't spawn in water, more endermen will spawn at the grinder instead of on the bridge or edges of grinder.

But that is entirely neglecting the fact that instead of covering the end in water, easily more than an hours work, we could build a bridge 100 or so blocks out, taking 10 minutes at most. We have to drop down to Y level 0 anyways for full efficiency, so that would require more hours of digging to get down to the proper level. I'm not asking why out of lack of understanding for the general mechanics of spawning and how efficiency works, or because of some bizarre idiosyncrasy, I'm asking out of the fact that there is a VASTLY superior method up for use, which takes less time, effort, resources, and makes it generally more convenient in both the short and long run.

Oh, sorry. I though by "Covering the end in water" it meant covering the unused bridge and edges of grinder. I didn't know it meant the WHOLE end! That's just silly. I agree with you.

All good man, misunderstandings happen.

How about we do the UHC next sunday. People have work on mondays and gotta get to sleep for work the next day too. We could just do it like 6-ish on sunday, so more people can attend.

I would prefer singleplayer UHC because I would not be able to attend any skype calls which prevents my ability to team and easily speak despite /tell [Name] Message
